सर्जिकल टेस्ट (Surgical Test) या ‘प्री-ऑपरेटिव टेस्ट’ वे मेडिकल जांचें हैं जो किसी भी छोटी या बड़ी सर्जरी (ऑपरेशन) से पहले मरीज की फिटनेस और सुरक्षा जांचने के लिए की जाती हैं।
सर्जिकल (प्री-ऑपरेटिव) टेस्ट के मुख्य उपयोग:
- स्वास्थ्य का आकलन: मरीज के शरीर की कार्यप्रणाली (लिवर, किडनी, फेफड़े) का मूल्यांकन करना।
- एनेस्थीसिया की तैयारी: सर्जरी के दौरान दिए जाने वाले एनेस्थीसिया (बेहोशी की दवा) के जोखिम को शून्य करना।
- ब्लड लॉस का अनुमान: सर्जरी के दौरान होने वाले रक्तस्राव की स्थिति का पहले ही अनुमान लगाना।
- संक्रमण का पता लगाना: किसी भी छिपे हुए संक्रमण या बीमारी का इलाज पहले ही शुरू कर देना।
1. Blood Counts & Typing

- Complete Blood Count (CBC): Measures hemoglobin, red/white blood cells, and platelets to check for anemia, infection, and clotting ability.
- Blood Grouping & Rh Factor: Identifies your exact blood type (\(A\), \(B\), \(AB\), or \(O\)) and Rhesus factor in case a transfusion is needed.
2. Coagulation Studies

- Bleeding Time (BT) & Clotting Time (CT): Assesses how long it takes for bleeding to stop after a minor injury.
- Prothrombin Time (PT) with INR: Measures how quickly your blood clots to prevent severe bleeding or deep vein thrombosis during and after the procedure.
3. Infectious Disease Screening
- Screens for bloodborne viruses to ensure the safety of both the patient and the surgical team:
